Schofields Road Upgrade

Contractors, the OHL-Abergedlie Joint Venture were awarded a major road upgrade project and, as a major part of the project scope, required a channel drainage system that met the projects unique requirements.

The project, undertaken by the OHL-Abergeldie Joint Venture, will see the upgrade of a 2.1 km stretch of Schofields Road. This encompasses the Schofield Roads intersections with Windsor Road and Tallawong Road, replacing the existing two lane road with a four lane dual carriage way. These integral works will assist in accommodating the future construction of the North-West Rail Link.

Renowned civil engineering contractors, Abergeldie have been successfully delivering a range of unique civil projects for nearly two decades. They are known throughout Australia and New Zealand for their commitment to quality, innovation, service and safety. When it came to choosing the right channel drainage system for the job, they couldn’t look past VantagePipes innovative range of stormwater management solutions. VantagePipesTM and Abergeldie Complex Infrastructure have been working together for some time. This partnership has been built on quality products and quality communication.

When Abergeldie Civil needed to implement an effective system for collecting stormwater overflows and divert them behind a newly constructed retaining wall system, they went with product with proven capability, VSpoonDrainTM Open Channel Drainage.

VPipe™ is an excellent product. It gives us 30-40% faster installation when compared to steel reinforced concrete pipes.
